Shortly before debuting her single “Wasting All These Tears” on The Voice, Cassadee Pope, Season 3 winner, sat down with CW for a little question-and-answer session.
What is the one thing that makes you really happy?
Listening to a song come to life. Usually when I write songs, it’s very stripped down. And to hear the layers come together, to hear the band come in, learn the song and just start recording it, it takes on a whole new character. It’s really cool.Do you have a secret talent?
This isn’t really a talent, but my arms are hyperextended and I can pretend they’re broken a little bit.What was the best vacation you ever had?
With my boyfriend. He took me to Key Largo for mybirthday. We laid by the beach every day and then at night we went to local spots that had amazing seafood. It was just so nice to lounge around and be casual. Anything by the beach is fun for me.If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would travel to Greece. I grew up really fascinated with Greek mythology and I’ve seen pictures of the beaches and they look incredible. Definitely praying to go there someday.What celebrity did you have a crush on as a child?
I have a crush on him still—Leonardo DiCaprio. He is just so talented, and when he’s on that screen it’s like you’re seeing him for the first time. He’s never in the tabloids, he’s very low-key and I think he’s beautiful.If you were another person, would you be friends with you?
Yeah! I think I’m a good friend because I don’t like to talk about myself. I let my friends tell me what’s going on in their lives. Because of what I do, I have to talk about myself a lot. When I hang out with people, I want to hear about them because I don’t get to do that very often. Cassadee Pope’s awesome new single, “Wasting All These Tears, has officially sold over 125,000 digital copies in the first week of release.
The season three winner of The Voice’s debut single soared to #1 on the iTunes Country Top Songs Chart, #2 on the All-Genre Top Songs chart, #2 on the Top Digital Country Chart and #10 on the Top Digital Songs Chart.
